Yahoo increases domain name renewal price

The news has been circulating for a few weeks now but in case you haven't heard Yahoo will be raising their domain name renewal price to $34.95 per year effective July 1, 2008. Ouch!

BlueHost plans to take 1 million GoDaddy customers

Matt Heaton, President of Bluehost recently reported the company's rapid growth and also made some interesting predictions for the future...

"We have just passed the 700,000 domains hosted for our organization. This includes Bluehost, Hostmonster, and Fastdomain. We are now in the top 2, if not number one, fastest growing shared hosting company in the world. We will very soon be hosting more than 1,000,000 domains."

These figures represent a 33 percent increase since September of 2007.
