Following yesterday's post about the new Paypal logo, they have now released a new set of payment buttons. If your existing buttons are hosted by Paypal they should update automatically, but if you need to download the new logo buttons you can get them here

Paypal supports new countries and currencies

Paypal has recently expanded their services to include 10 new currencies and 48 new user countries.

The new Paypal supported currencies include the Czech Koruna, Danish Krone, Hong Kong Dollar, Hungarian Forint, New Zealand Dollar, Norwegian Krone, Polish Zloty, Singapore Dollar, Swedish Krona, and Swiss Franc.

Residents in 48 new markets will now be able to use PayPal to send money online. New markets include Indonesia, the Philippines, Croatia, Fiji, Vietnam and Jordan.

The complete list of countries can be seen here (new window)

This is good news for international buyers but even better news for Paypal sellers who will enjoy a much broader international customer base, although I wonder how many Fijians will use the service?

Thirdsphere Updates Automation Station

Thirdsphere Hosting has upgraded it's powerful Automation Station ecommerce system. The hosting provider has listened to it's customers and added double opt-in features to the email autoresponder.  Initial tests are showing excellent email deliverability even to free hosts such as Hotmail, Yahoo and AOL.

Other improvements include additions to the digital product delivery system. You can view our previous review of the Automation Station here.

Do you sell digital downloads?

Paypal Account Fee Calculator

Are you a web hosting provider using Paypal or other kind of Paypal seller?  We thought our readers would love this handy Paypal fee calculator from PPCalc.com to work out exactly what amounts to expect after Paypal fees and currency conversions.

This is perfect for an non-US Paypal merchant like myself who sells mostly to USA or UK based customers. I'm using this great litle calculator all the time!

Paypal Calculator

Click on the logo to visit. Here's some more info from the PPCalc.com site:

"It allows anyone with a PayPal account to quickly and easily determine their PayPal fees before they accept money online. We also allow you to "reverse" calculate your fees to find out what amount a person should send you so that you actually get the amount you want after PayPal fees have been taken out, or what we like to call a Reverse PayPal Calculator."

I hope you all find this tool as useful as I do,

Andrew
